We count ourselves very fortunate to have one of Nerrida's beautiful black Labrador pups!
We've now had our gorgeous girl Kuro for 3 weeks. We live in Canberra, so our first challenge was a 10hr drive with our new puppy. For anyone considering this, it went very smoothly with Kuro sleeping most of the time.
We heard stories about puppies crying through the night, chewing on everything and anything and being generally chaotic! Nights have been fantastic - Kuro is now 11 weeks old and sleeping through, pretty much 12hrs straight.
Everyone who meets her comments on her beautiful temperament and how gorgeous she is. We always tell them that we did a lot of research to find a puppy that came from a reputable breeder who focused on temperament..
Having done the research, we were hopeful for a wonder natured puppy. We weren't prepared for just how amazing she is!. The perfect addition to our family. We couldn't recommend Nerrida and Rosebird Kennels highly enough.

Nerrida and these two precious gems helped us out at a stall in Grafton Shoppingworld today, to raise money for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. We were amazed at how well behaved and adjusted these two girls were. At only 6 and 3 months of age, they coped well with a busy noisy environment; children patting, brushing and feeding them; many unexpected sounds and smells; and people constantly moving around them. They showed no signs of separation anxiety and/or barking and whining behaviours when Nerrida went briefly out of their sight for things, and for about a 15 minute lunch break. We were so impressed at how well behaved and calm they were (for Labrador puppies, who are usually so excitable, especially when food is around, they were amazing).
We are very thankful for Nerrida and her girls in taking the time, effort and expense to help us out today. It certainly added greatly to the success of our fund raising stall in Grafton.

We are very greatfull for the kindness shown to us by Rosebird Kennels. We have a little girl called Charlotte who suffers from a rare form of epilespy that is very hard to control. Rosebird kennels heard about our little girl and donated a black lab called ZOE to us. Zoe will be trained as a response dog for Charlotte's seizures!! We as a family will never forget the kindness that was shown to us!!! THANKYOU

Hi Nerida,
We would just like to say a big thank you for our beautiful boy "Sonny". He's almost 2 now and is a big part of our family. He has a great personality and wouldn't hurt a fly. He wants to be around us all the time and wakes us up every morning by sooking at the back door! We take him for walks every day, he loves the beach and playing with other dogs. When we arrive home from work he's always so happy to see us and even if we've had a rough day at work he manages to brighten us up.

We bought Odi (a black lab pup) from Nerrida in 2005. I did a lot of research into well bred dogs as my son was only 5 at the time and his wellbeing was on my mind. I had also read enough info to know that good hip and elbow scores were very important for healthy labs. Nerrida provided us with all of Odi's breeding info and included puppy notes on how to care for the dog, training, etc. In 2008 we bought Scooby (a chocolate lab) sight unseen. Nerrida flew him down to us and we fell in love with him instantly. I cannot recommend her enough. Her labs' temperaments are impeccable and are bred with love and affection.

We are very honoured to be given the opportunity to welcome Honey into our family.
In 2009 I had to re-home my beautiful loved Newfoundland as he became very anxious around my
Son who has Autism. I was advised by our trainer to look for a mature dog Lab or Golden Retriever.
I started our search and was told by quite a few breeders that they wouldn?t put a dog in our care.
When I saw Honey was up for adoption I sent Nerrida a long email explaining everything to her. I was
Excited to hear Honey had been around another autistic child and was use to the unpredictable behaviour
Of such children. Our son and I went for a visit and we both fell in love with her. Honey came home with us a few weeks later; she is a total joy and is very good with my son and any other children that come for a visit. When my son has a meltdown she will sit and wait for him to finish and will then go up for a pat and cuddle.
Thank you Nerrida for breeding such a beautiful girl.

Thank you Rosebird Kennels for our wonderful Molly the Westie, she had a shaky start but thanks to the care given here by Nerida, she is now a very active and happy dog.

We got our chocolate labrador, Coco, from Nerrida 8 years ago. She is such a loved member of our family and she could still win a labrador beauty contest. She has a calm temperament but entertains us by hiding slippers and thongs. She is now a therapy dog who visits people in hospitals and aged care. We are thinking carefully about getting a second labrador in the next year or two. So it's good to read that Nerrida's labradors are as treasured as our Coco.

Hi Nerrida
Just an update on Merlin. Merlin is now 14 months old. He is very loved and spoilt by Trevor and I.
He has been neutered and all his vaccs are all up to date.
He loves people and animals and is always wagging his tail that he wiggled lol.
Strangers are always telling me how beautiful he is and can't resist giving him pats.
He is very good with kids and he even sits down for them without being asked to.
He has graduated from puppy obedience class and is extremely smart. I have taught him to put both of his paws up in the air. You just ask him where a specific toy is and he'll go and get it for you.
If you say the words 'food and hungry' he will go to the kitchen door.
I have never had a dog like him and I thank you for letting us have a gorgeous little man like him.
